Dillas:.

Yeah, that means money. I said no. That’s another good thing he never got the money first, that’s another good... on my part. So I said no so anyway put it in the basket right, strapped the t**** thing in the basket. . .strap. It’s still not hitting on me, and then... he was standing up there with these sneakers on I remember that part, these big sneakers and he had no lacings in em. They done it purposely so he couldn’t run right.. . .Thought maybe he came to the beach and fucking around know what I’m saying and okay the and at that point when he put the thing in the basket he says fuck off now.

Young:

Seriously.

Dillas:

Yeah. He set me up but he said that right. When he said that I said of fuck this is a set up. Now I had plenty time. I immediately took off and I had Smitty up the lighthouse already. Up and down. . okay I drove up and down about six times right. When I decided to go up there.

Roberts:

Drove up and down where?

Dillas:

I drove up and down the road from Whale Bay and would keep going back to see if anybody’s following me before I went to pick the package up right. Now fifteen minutes prior to that I dropped Smitty off at the lighthouse so he can crawl up the lighthouse and watch the thing on his chest, man never saw Smitty up there.

Young:

Bye fuck off seriously.

Dillas:

Honest t fucking god.

Young:

What?

Dilas:

Seney told me take off. Check this out I hadn’t got time to drive out to the lighthouse right.

Young:

Right.

Dillas:

Come out to the gate, I got down to the gate I said (Gives a loud whistle) come on come on.

Young:

Laughs.

Dillas:

That’s all the time I had, Smitty ran down the hill right. Got on the bike, drove down about twenty yards and then go over the wall picked up the bag of rice... Picked up the rice, something just told me fuck don’t go on the road. . .that guy something weird. When I came out ... I played golf up there everyday I drove right through the Portuguese yard and I knew it was a little hole there.

Young:

I patched up. . .lighthouse.

Dillas:

Drove through .. lighthouse. So when we got up the 18th hole I said okay Smitty take the thing I’ll start digging a hole, Smitty went in the thing and it was clothes in there. Said let me see I don’t see no clothes in there. I said man look in that fucking thing man. So he’ pulled all the clothes out the man’s hand came out with this little fucking package about half the size of the … only about six ounces... I said what the fuck that guy! playing me for. I’m still not thinking that that was a clean sell. I said Smitty I’m going back up the lighthouse to see that fucking guy bye. 18th hole and fuck coke. Now at this time. . .the 18th hole is up by the Rib Room.

Young:

Right, is that the back entrance of the Princess?

Roberts:

Right.

Dillas:

So I come out of the 18th hole by the bunker . . .~ now this time, they’re coming like, they’re going to cut the lighthouse this way. I’m coming to the back entrance of Princess now.

Young:

Right.

Dillas:

So I’m going back up there to fuck Seney off and tell him where’s the rest of the coke bye. I come onto the back entrance to, come along the back entrance to. ..

Roberts:

There is nobody out there man.

Dillas:

I came out the back entrance to the Southampton Princess, I looked down to fucking Ted’s house down the hill ... all I see is nothing but vans and Narco cars. I said oh fuck lord have mercy this is a set up. Fuck that, that.. .thinking, no, no thinking .... now look I committed myself when I went up the hill anyway.

Young:

right.

Dillas:

‘What I’m saying, check this out, okay riding along, now I can’t see how they didn’t see me. I had a hired helmet, they probably thought I was a tourist.. because the cars were all around. I went straight down the hill and back up to the lighthouse.

Young:

Bye fuck off bye.

Dillas:

No, check out what I was doing. I had to get. back up to the Portuguese yard to take the cut out of  there. Check it out now, as I’m going back to make myescape knowing now, not going back to the lighthouse, ifs definitely a set up. As I get half way up the slope, here comes the white taxi down the hill with just the parking lights on, that caught my attention. I said look at this fucking taxi coming out of there this guy’s not got his lights on, well who could be in that taxi. Paul Seney, Mr. Fox and Alan Cleave... Mr. FOX was the same guy who was up Lighthouse Hill watching, dead now right, things. Now, when I passed the fucking fucking taxi, all I see Seney, with his head turned back like to say 1~ is that him and in the statement Seney said to the cops, that’s him there, and I saw the brake light come on after I passed the thing. The brake lights for the taxi went on I said of fuck so okay. I passed that taxi here now and go round a sharp corner.

Young: Right right.
Dillas:  The taxi must have went to go turn around. Probably thought I was going to my house by South Shore Road, fuck him. Where did I go . . .back to the Portuguese yard again, now I’m back in the lighthouse right. Light’s off. I’m back on the golf course. Light’s Off. Back to Smitty. . .Smitty it’s the fucking man all Lighthouse Hill, all South Shore Road, is, (police siren sounds). Bye, it’s cars ~ zooming I said to Smitty, that’s a mistake we made dropping the fucking bike, we panicked know what I’m saying, man think.... I didn’t want to get caught. I didn’t know how close they were to me... once I heard the car I said to Smitty get rid of the fucking baggage, took the fucking package out, took shirt off, took his shirt overlapped it.. wiped all the fingerprints off, right. Walked over to the trees, had shirt like that there and flick it. We hauled arse.
Roberts: You left your bike, left your bike on the golf course.
Dillas: Yeah we left the bike on the golf course right. Threw the bag away in the trees, and flicked the fucking coke out right. So by this time we start running. We start running down like you know where Princess on the South Shore, you know where the pond is, start running down the hilt. As I start running down the hill,, I saw two figures down there.. Now someone’s on the golf course, fuck ..then I saw four golf carts coming with spot lights . . truck. We guys ran up the fucking dump truck . . .in the fucking dump truck, shaking our asses .. oh fuck, came right up by the fucking truck bye, we guys, I am in the truck Jules.
Roberts: You were looking.

Dillas:

No bye, my heart was pumping, you could have heard it. Hey he stood the spotlight bie, he shone, he stayed in the golf cart, it was pitch dark, he was probably scared. Now. . .these bies are going to have a weapon bie ... by the wheels. He stayed in the golf cart, he rolled the golf cart a little more, looked, then they left, went down to the next hole. I was so frightened, I couldn’t move out of the truck (Laughter). Smitty went and left me, told him stay here with me or I’ll have to take you down man. Fuck, Smitty, no bie.. .want for my life. The man got South Shore Road blocked off right. Smittyy goes and runs across the fucking road Jules, the man was so frightened, he ran across the road and right up in these white peoples yard. Out came a fucking Doberman Pinscher (Laughter) . . .Smitty almost lost his life. Smitty jumped okay, you know the house. Okay coming up the main entrance there from Princess from South Shore.

Young:

Right.

Dillas:

You know that sharp, sharp corner.

Young:

That one on the end.

Dillas:

Smitty jumped in the house there, the dog came, Smitty jumped right off that bank, going down to South Shore, go down to Whale Bay Beach. Smitty jumped right off the fucking cliff bie, don’t know why he didn’t kill himself. Smitty said fuck it, I’m gone.... I said oh fuck, Smitty’s dead.

Roberts:

Where did you go after that?

Dillas:

He fucking well, well bounced, well he must have bounced off the. - .sand and he ran down Whaler Inn.., a car came up out the corner, a car came up out .pf the corner and a cop started shining light. Smitty went across the road so fast, they weren’t sure if it was a dog ... now I’m laying in the dump truck right. I’m laying in the dump truck ... with the flashlight. I hear the officer say on the radio I’m not sure what it was, I thought I saw something flash across. I said oh fuck the guy’s shining again, then radio.. -.go to certain destination. Must have told him change the destination. So he speeded off... go up by the lighthouse, here I am stuck, I said fuck, fuck how am I going to make it up to Ted’s home. Ted’s son’s house, I had to try and make it up to Sunnyside Park, that was my alibi as to where I was right. Jules, I slept in that dump truck until four in the morning, some three hours after Smitty had made his getaway I said how am I going to get out of here, I can’t go back home.. .so I went back down... and went way back up the fucking golf course up this time, like as I’m going to Southampton Princess, I said, I cut down, up by the Tennis Club. Once I get up to the Tennis Club, I stayed up there, there’s trees up there and it would get me to Sunnyside Park, you know that area.

Young:

Yer, I know that area real good.

Dillas:

Okay, I went up to Ted’s home and jumped across the road.

Young;

comes out in the Douglas yard.

Dillas:

Right, right.

Young:

That guy with the BMW.

Dillas:

I got up there. . .I got to the trees, I thought, I’m safe. Hey, those trees are tall cane grass, I don’t know how I made it, I had to go about three hundred yards bie . . fucking crawl, took me fucking about forty minutes.. .then I had to get to barbed wire and old car. Once I got out to Sunnyside Park, I ran through the hills, even ran across Ramsay’s house. Made it to Bubba’s house, when I got to Bubba’s house Smitty was already there, I said fuck (Laughing). Fuck, at this point, I told Doc’s brother, Winky.

Roberts:

So who was he said the sister’s.

Dillas:

Err?

Roberts:

That guy said he sent him to two sister’s. Dillas: Two sisters.

Roberts:

Yer, Seney, was trying something about seven sisters.

Dillas:

You know the sisters he said, that is who he was dealing cocaine with first. He didn’t want to call the guys names, he was talking about Anthony Stoneham, the sisters, Anthony and David Stoneham.

Young:

You mean that’s how they found out.

Dillas:

Yeah, Seney said he was working for the sisters then he said he was working for a guy named Chrome Coleman, owns a shop in St. George’s, all that’s in his statement. Say now, what I’m saying is, the fact that he mentioned all those names, it gives my QC a chance to say, this guy’s calling all these other people’s names who is the fuck to say, may be that package is supposed to be for them. He’s trying to set me up, someway, might have got my number, know what I am saying. The fact that he named names gives me some outlet.

Young:

Leverage.

Dillas:

See, what I’m saying that’s what I’ll put to my lawyer, that’s my fucking way out.  My way, my QC is a . . . his role is going to have to be hey look this guy called his name, this guy originally came over here with this coke for somebody else. Someway, if you gave him that number, the police gave him that number and tried to set me to fuck up because I do have myself that. . . call. Okay when he got me desperate on the ‘phone and tried to meet me, tried to make me come down to Palmetto Bay, copies of the conversation ended up something like this here, look, man, you ain’t coming down here. I’m saying him, I ain’t doing nothing until I talk to your boy, right. I talked nothing about drugs right, he said um um, he really got desperate after I call you back three or four times. Every time he’s calling me, I’m running to a pay ‘phone and calling back Marcus... Marcus said, hey, look, if you are worried, don’t go. . . then he got to the point in saying look man I’ve done my part of the deal... this is what I said on the ‘phone, I said, man, what the fuck are you talking about, man...

Roberts:

You said that to throw the man off. They was listening.

Dillas:

Yeah, I done that to cover myself, that’s in the statement, see, what I’m saying. So, I mean, it’s a ticklish case to get off but I have no... .nothing was discussed in the telephone conversations about cocaine.

Roberts:

But Seney was trying to get you to say some~ thing about it.

Dillas:

He was trying to get me, yes, when he said, um I said this here, I know this boy is all fucked up, I said, hey man, what the fuck are you talking about. Where are you calling from anyway, man. Who have you been talking to now. He said I did. . . know what I’m saying. That might be a little ticklish, but that could be, I mean I could, our boy, even if that was said in my house, heh, look, man we guys just got busted for a case, some strangers calling up my home start. I’ve got the indication he was talking about fucking drugs, man. Hey, I’m not going to let anybody talk on my ‘phone like that, this could be a setup, know what I’m saying.

Young:

Once you got up Sunnyside Park, right.

Dillas:

I was safe.

Young:

What did you do after that?

Dillas:

I told... if the cops come to the house, I was up there playing cards.

Roberts:

Who’s that, Ted’s son.

Dillas

 Yeah

Roberts

He’s gonna be your witness.

Dillas

He and his girl, yeah.

Roberts

The alibi to say you were down there and not at the lighthouse.

Dillas

We was playing, yeah, yeah, we was playing cards all night and stuff like that. . . they never got me until the next day they never caught me though, I had to go and sign bail. The next day, the whole fucking next day, I had to go jail, sign bail about six o’clock I knew they would probably catch me, so I snuck back to the house, I didn’t go back to the house till about 5 o’clock in the afternoon, cause I knew I was going straight in jail after my bail, right. I went back to the house... Larry was already in the Police Station, see, ‘cause when they busted the house that night when I was up... they took Larry, they busted the whole house, didn’t find ... I snorted them all one time (laughing). I said I long go jail, I snorted them, two grams… When I got to the Police station, signed my bail, a guy comes outside and says, Mr. Dillas, we’re going to keep you in custody the Police want to interview you.

Roberts

Who’s that there?

Dillas

All the Narcotics cops want to interview me because I went to sign my bail for the first case, see, I was already on bail from the first case. So, the Police never caught me that night at the thing. The whole next day when I... I knew I had to go Police station, about six, because I had to sign six days a week. So, when I went to sign bail that was the point, see what I’m saying. The point is...

Roberts

That’s when they arrested you.

Dillas

Yer, the point I’m saying is that’s a good thing, as to say look is if I’m guilty look, I’m not going to go into Police Station, I went in on my own will, see what I’m saying..

Young

Right.

Dillas

QC. . . that’s some strong points he has to weigh out.

Young

As long as you’ve got Bobbie and his muma, right, specifically stay to what they have got to say right...

Dillas

And like I told you, the covering of the bike, the bike found on the golf course I told them, I stated, that the bike got stolen from Henry VIII. I told them it got stolen from Henry VIII sometime just before midnight, and then I said we came out of Henry’s, we were so drunk, I thought someone was playing a game on me, I couldn’t believe it, the bike weren’t there.

Roberts

That was all bullshit

Dillas

Yer that was all bullshit, see what I’m saying, but I’m backing myself?  Yeah, I’m backing myself, I’m saying hey look man, I came out of the fucking thing and Smitty was drunk. I told Smitty to stop leaving the key in the bike, he has a habit of doing that. When we came out the hire bike was gone, I thought someone was playing a joke because we was drunk.

Roberts

This is what you’re telling the cops.

Dillas

This is what I’m telling the cops in my statement, I thought someone was playing jokes. We stood down by the road and along came a white car. We, we had two six packs of beers that we picked up, because we were. . . initially going up to Keno’s house, Bobby’s home to play cards after we had a drink at Henry’s anyway and when the car came. . .and the guy dropped us off at Southampton Rangers and walked into Bobby’s home

Roberts

Suppose they go, suppose they come and check Henry VIII.

Dillas

Well they already did go check, and the guy... up there. . .said he was up there.

Roberts

At the time.

Dillas

Yeah, but the thing is they can’t use that, you know why ... they don’t have that in the evidence, my PI’s already gone, and whatever evidence they think they can use me in the statements, has to be in my papers ... it’s not there so I can use them on ~my behalf too.

Young

That’s right.

Dillas

Because those guys were doing the money changing for me.

Roberts

 Who?

Dillas

Neil, Neil and Rudy, they were doing the money changing, they...

Roberts

You’ll need them two then.

Dillas

Yeah, so they covered me they told

Roberts

They were, they sniff and all that there too.

Dillas

No, no.

Roberts

They just do the money.

Dillas

Yer man, the Police came up there man and asked them, they say yer, Dillas was here last night, he comes up here every night. See what I’m saying, that parts covered too.

Young

Right.

Dillas

I mean even if it looks a little sticky, see what I’m saying. A good QC going to turn around and make em believe, now look for some reason or other, how that bike got out there, maybe the person that initially went to pick up the package, or it could have been a person that was at Dillas’s house, which actually wasn’t him, talking on the ‘phone, and he might have thought that he was trying to steal, do something and maybe set up and they didn’t know about it and he was probably the one who came and maybe took that bike to go pick up the package on the hill, anything like that there. See what I’m saying fucking story to throw it off because the two charges that they had before, see, is intent to supply. Now, I know I can beat that, because intent to supply means you have to have possession, on your possession, you never had it on my possession, neither do you have any fingerprints, ‘cause I didn’t touch it. Number two is conspiracy to import coke into the Islands. They only have my word against Seney’s, they have no evidence of anything of ‘phone conversations or agreement, that I told Raymond Seney to come down here and bring cocaine to Bermuda. Neither do they have any evidence that I ever, ever talked to this guy in my life before or ever talked to him on a phone before.

Roberts

Who’s that guy?

Dillas

Seney. They have no calls of me going to his house in the United States.

Roberts

What about the other guy who sent Seney.

Dillas

He’s on my side.

Roberts

He’s been down here. He’s been to the Island.

Dillas

He’s been to the Island, yeah, a long time ago. He’s on my side, he’s the one telling me man fight it. He called the other day from prison in New Jersey, he’s the one going up for murder. He’s on my side, he’s the one telling me.

Roberts

So, so, so, so what. He’s the one that shot that girl.

Dillas

Well, yeah, he organised it, he ... he’s gonna beat that, too, because he was in Florida, the murder happened in New Jersey. Seney was the one gave cops about the murder, after Seney

Roberts

Why did they take the girl out?
